Good morning everyone! I want to thank all of you who have stepped up to make sure that we are ready for Thanksgiving this year. I know it seems too early, but we have some friends who only come once a month, so we have to have all of the pantry supplies in place by November 7. Thanks to your generosity as individuals and as a community, I am certain that we will be able to help everyone who comes to us. We've never had to turn anyone away in the past years, and we're not about to start that now! For those who still want to help, it's not too late. Email me back and I'll let you know how you can help.

Believe it or not, we've also already started thinking about our Friday Friendsgiving gathering for dinner too. It will be November 27 this year. Our friend Ray L just donated 5 amazing-looking apple pies that were fresh baked on Saturday over at the annual Pie Day at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. They are now in our freezer, waiting for the main event!

Another welcome donation that we received a couple of weeks ago was from our friends Sue and Norm B and the Congregational Church of Harvard. Several months ago they delivered cleaning kits that we could hand out, and they just brought us more so that we could offer them once a month or so to our friends. Thank you guys!

One Small Thing
In case you were wondering, our little pantry satellite over at the Ayer Library is working out wonderfully. We've narrowed down what are the most helpful items to keep there, and which ones we should swap out. We're ready to restock some of the items this week, and I think we are all so pleased with how it's been received.

Thank you to all of you who brought us children's socks last week! We are fully stocked now and ready to help our families. If you would like to shop for us this week, I made a grave error last week. I said that we had plenty of adult socks, but I failed to notice that they are all the larger men's sizes. If anyone is still planning to go sock shopping, would you please buy women's socks instead? That would be a tremendous help, and thank you! We can take drop-offs at the pantry (through the gray door next to the parking lot on Cambridge Street) only on Wednesdays from 10 to noon, Fridays from 4 to 5, and Saturdays only from 9 to 10. Please do not leave food at the door outside of these hours. The bin is available to drop off SHELF-STABLE FOODS ONLY (plus socks!!) at Ayer Shop n' Save if those times don't suit. If you have FRESH PRODUCE, please contact us so we can make arrangements. Please don't leave it in the S n' S bin! Please also leave a note in the bag with your name so we know whom to thank when you do drop off food at the store! We are located at 21 Washington Street, Suite C, Ayer MA 01432

I love you all...have a fantastic week!
