Stone Soup Kitchen Ministries

On Saturday, August 9, the Rotary Club of Ayer, Shirley, Harvard, and Devens sponsored a "Fill a Cruiser" event, along with the A yer Police Department and the Shirley Police Department .  It was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot for a change, and the results were truly inspiring!  Our thanks go out to Ayer Shop 'n Save too, for allowing the group to use their parking lot.   We are so grateful to the community for coming out to support this effort.  It comes in the middle of the 5th Annual Ayer Police August Food Drive : during the month of August each year, the Police Station collects canned and packaged foods for Stone Soup Kitchen in their lobby.  Since the Station is open 24/7, this is an extremely important event each year, which gets the food pantry through the food drought of each summer.  Here are some pictures to help you enjoy the event!  Thank you so much to all our friends at Rotary, APD, and SPD for their time and effort in pullin...

Lin and Vinny will be hosting a free hot cocoa and glitter tattoo stand in the Ayer Shop 'n Save parking lot from 10 to noon on Saturday March 29, 2025!!  Come and hang out, and enjoy a cuppa! 

  😍Thank you thank you thank you😍  to Sarah Pileeki, Carla Pileeki Fernandes, and the LCE (Leominster Center of Excellence) school! Our dinner and pantry guests will be thrilled to receive these fantastic care packages ❤️

  A parking lot filled with cuteness! Lin + Vinny M and their friends ran a food drive for us on Sunday, March 3, featuring hot chocolate and glitter tattoos (whether or not a donation was made!).

  We had a visit from our friends Stan and Megan yesterday. They were dropping off the amazing load of pantry staples that were collected by local business AVS ! We are extremely grateful to them for their generosity each year at this time 💕

  We're getting to the end of our month-long food drive at the Ayer Police Department. This was what was picked up just this week!  💕 Thanks to Sgt John MacDonald, Chief Brian Gill, Mark LeBel, and all the rest who made this happen. Thank you to all of our friends and neighbors who donated! Thanks and gratitude to Alison + Rich E, Sonja C, Dan C, Mike H, who helped pick up each week and transport it to us. You are all our heroes!

The 3rd annual food drive conducted by our friends at the Ayer Police Department is underway and will continue through all of August 💕  Stop in the Station lobby if you'd like to donate, and leave a private comment on this post if you'd like to help transport and/or help sort the food on Wednesday mornings.   How sweet is this? 💕💕💕 Michael's monetary donation was a part of a food drive held by the First Parish Church in Groton.  Our friend Donnie F mobilized her justice warrior youth to collect food for us, and we thank them greatly for their generosity and care!
