Good morning to all! We had a great week, and I have a lot of excellent things to tell you about! We were helped out last Wednesday by a crew from the Ayer office of National Grid . Chris and Sean came to help pack, sort, stock, and basically do anything else we asked for. They also brought some weatherstripping along with them that Dan (also from the office) supplied, and tightened up the seal on our pantry door. It stayed so much more comfortable in there on Saturday without the wind whistling through like a freight train! Thank you guys...we really appreciated all your help. We also received a pantry food donation from Elizabeth S from Theide Plumbing & Heating on Wednesday. They have been collecting and donating to various pantries in the area, and it was nice to meet Elizabeth. Thank you to everyone! During our packing time on Wednesday, thanks to the fact that we had the extra hands from National Grid, a couple of our crew made a heroic trip to Nashua to pick up

Good morning, good morning! What a glorious weekend it was...great weather, great gathering for dinner, great morning at the pantry, a great gathering for crafts with Debbie E, and a fun Superbowl. Or as our daughter calls it, “that sportsy-ball thing you like to watch.” Since I had absolutely no skin in the game this time, I concentrated on the snacks and advertisements, while rooting for the 49ers, simply because I like Joe Montana. We have lots of good stuff to report this week:  Sarah P's Girl Scouts made Valentine's Day bags for our guests (picture above), which thrilled everyone who received them.  We received a large delivery of homemade cookies and brownies from our amazing bakers to give out. Everyone appreciates the time and the love you put into these!  Bake'N Joy brought us 2 cases of pound cakes to share. We really appreciate their partnership.  Several different crafts were enjoyed on Saturday morning (picture below). Debbie comes up with great p

Good morning everyone! We had a great weekend, and we also have an event coming up that you can put on your calendar. But first, before I forget, I need to share info with you about our last program... Ayer Public Access (thank you Trevor and James!) has posted the video they created from our First Aid workshop. Many thanks to Nurse Maureen and the rest of the crew from Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, and also thanks to the Ayer Fire Department for lending us John Bresnahan for this great introductory (and free!) program. If you missed it, you can watch the video at the link, and if you leave me a private comment here on this post with your email, you can have copies of the slides (pdf format...thank you Jenna!) plus a bonus on how to set up a first aid kit for home or office! Coming up this Saturday, Debbie E will be leading our monthly Craft Gathering from 10 to noon. Drop in and out as you wish! Debbie always has some fun things planned, or you are welcome to work
