Good morning everyone! What a busy weekend we had...but a really good one. It started off with a visit from Susie, one of our Nashoba nurses, who came and talked with each person at dinner who wanted a consultation or had questions. We are going to do this quarterly, and of course Susie also reminded us that any of us can always call them personally to ask questions (978-772-3335). Susie was especially concerned that we all be aware of ticks, as there seems to be a banner crop this year :-(

On Saturday, our friend Jin came to talk with anyone who needed help figuring out how to balance their bank account statement or checkbook. She would like the community to know that if you were unable to make it on Saturday, she would be very happy to help you at a mutually convenient time. Just email us, and we will put you in touch!

We are very grateful that people like these friends are willing to come and help out with various topics. Please let us know if there are other things that you think would be helpful for us to look into.

There are some items to note in our upcoming schedule: we are going to be closed on Saturday, July 4. Pretty much everyone who comes to the pantry already knows, and we've been giving people extra to get them through. Unrelated to July 4, I will be taking off next Monday, June 29, and there will be no letter.

We have an exciting upcoming event to put on your calendar right away: Stone Soup Kitchen is sponsoring the first annual (hopefully!) Cops and Cones event at Pirone Park in Ayer! Come join us on Wednesday August 19 from 7 to 8 pm. We'll be set up on the ball field just to the right as you enter the park. Go park anywhere in the parking lot and stroll over for some ice cream and a chat with some of Ayer's finest! Yes, of course it's free :-)

If you can shop for us this week, we are still low on several items: boxes of instant potatoes, 18 oz canisters of oatmeal, and adult diapers in size LARGE, jelly, boxed mac + cheese, baked beans, and cereal. Please email me if you need our complete pantry list or you want our QR code for online donations. We can take drop-offs at the pantry (through the gray door next to the parking lot on Cambridge Street) on Wednesdays from 10 to noon, Fridays from 4 to 5, and Saturdays only from 9 to 10. Please do not leave food at the door outside of these hours. The bin is always available at Ayer Shop n' Save if those times don't suit: Please leave a note in the bag with your name so we know whom to thank! We are located at 21 Washington Street, Suite C, Ayer MA 01432

All my love! Take care of yourselves and of each other
