Good day! I only have a few things to catch you up on this week. The first is a reminder that our friend Rachel K will be going to speak to the Ayer Select Board tomorrow evening, Tuesday June 2, about her Garden Gleaners. The meeting starts at 6pm at the Ayer Town Hall, and the Public Comment agenda item is near the very beginning, so please drop in if you can!
Next, our friend Jin H has offered to do a drop-in workshop on Saturday June 20 during our regular pantry hours, 10 to noon. She will be assisting people in learning how to balance bank statements...and your checkbook if you still use one (I do!). She will help you make sense of all those numbers the bank sends you each month. No registration or appointment is necessary: just stop in, have some coffee and a donut, and get your questions answered! Everyone is welcome and there are no fees. Parking is next to Shepherd of the Valley Church, on Newton Street. Walk up Washington St to the first blue door and come on in! We'll set you up in a (relatively) quiet space to talk with Jin!

One Small Thing
We have received vegetable and herb seeds from our friends Cher and Mich, and our friend Laurie got her Garden Club to donate 4 different types of seeds too! In addition, Laurie supplies us with sprout seeds and jars for countertop sprouting. There's no excuse for not having vegetables in your garden this year...just come see us! Thank you to all who contributed to this great project!

If you can shop for us this week, we will gratefully take anything from our complete list, plus we are in real need of adult diapers in size LARGE. Please email me if you need our complete pantry list or you want our QR code for online donations. We can take drop-offs at the pantry (through the gray door next to the parking lot on Cambridge Street) on Wednesdays from 10 to noon, Fridays from 4 to 5, and Saturdays only from 9 to 10. Please do not leave food at the door outside of these hours. The bin is always available at Ayer Shop n' Save if those times don't suit: Please leave a note in the bag with your name so we know whom to thank!
