Good morning! Whether or not you've ever been a mother or father to a child of your own, I bet almost all of you have served that function in the life of another person – physically, emotionally, or spiritually – so I just want to take a moment to thank all of you for the love that you have poured into others over the years. What you do for others truly makes a difference.

There are only a few things to catch you up on this week. We received a bag of sandwiches from Alltown Fresh on Saturday morning, and they were an extremely welcome addition to our Coffee Bar. Despite the rain, we had visits from many of our beloved friends and were able to give them something nutritious for lunch. Thank you to Chef Samantha and Alltown Fresh, and thank you to our faithful volunteers Nicole, Hunter, Connie, and Atlas who pick up produce and sandwiches for us each Saturday morning!

One Small Thing
We got a start on our call for seeds through two donations this past week! Our friend Laurie S brought in seed sprouting jars with a seed mixture for growing salad sprouts on your countertop. Before the end of the day, they were gone, gone, gone! Everyone wanted to try it. And our friend Cher M brought in a beautiful basket of seed cards for all kinds of herbs. There's a picture attached. Aren't they beautiful?

As you plan and plant your own gardens this year, please keep our Garden Gleaners in mind! Rachel K will be coordinating the collection of excess throughout the season and can even help you with some harvesting if needed. If you'd like to be part of her team, you can contact her at rachelsunflower01432 at gmail dot com

If you can shop for us this week, we would love to have more packets of vegetable seeds to give out. A few other items that we are low on are the following: boxes of instant potatoes, jars of jelly, and baked beans. Please email me if you need our full list or you want our QR code for online donations. We can take drop-offs at the pantry (through the gray door next to the parking lot on Cambridge Street) on Wednesdays from 10 to noon, Fridays from 4 to 5, and Saturdays only from 9 to 10. Please do not leave food at the door outside of these hours. The bin is always available at Ayer Shop n' Save if those times don't suit: Please leave a note in the bag with your name so we know whom to thank! We are located at 21 Washington Street, Suite C, Ayer MA 01432

It's a beautiful day...don't let it get away!
