Partners, Participants, and Allies: a meeting for all!

 

Good morning, and please plan to come to our first ever meeting of all of Stone Soup Kitchen's stakeholders! SSK is an organization in which ALL participants are seen as having an interest in its success, so everyone is invited to this first (annual?) meeting of Partners, Participants, and Allies!

Whether you support SSK materially or financially, through prayer and goodwill, through volunteer hours, and/or through visiting us and enjoying our services, we cordially invite you to join us for an hour or so on Saturday January 24, 2026, at 1:00pm. We will be meeting in the dining room and the fellowship hall of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church at 21 Washington Street in Ayer MA. There is limited parking in the lot off of Cambridge Street, with entry through the gray door. There is more parking available in the lot off Newton Street, with entry through the first blue door on Washington Street.

This is a meeting that we wanted to hold last January, but we ended up having to move instead! Therefore, it seemed more reasonable to live in our new space for a year before scheduling this important meeting. In addition, we have received an unexpected grant, and we want to invest in our community wisely. Please come and weigh in on what visions you might have for us going forward!

One Small Thing
Our friends in the children's room at the Ayer Library had a Mitten Tree for us over the holidays. Becca K brought the mittens, socks, and hats to us last week, and many happy people are benefiting from the generosity of the community. Thank you all!

Please send in the small things that you have done, maybe something you did over the holidays. We hear all the time that they are an inspiration to others

If you can shop for us this week, we will gratefully take anything off of our complete pantry list. If you need a copy of it, just email back and we'll send it to you! We can take drop-offs at the pantry (through the gray door next to the parking lot on Cambridge Street) on Wednesdays from 10 to noon, Fridays from 4 to 5, and Saturdays only from 9 to 10. Please do not leave food at the door outside of these hours. The bin is always available at Shop n' Save if those times don't suit: Please leave a note in the bag with your name so we know whom to thank!
