This past Saturday left me hopeful. And then we woke up to a mix of rain and snow this morning...but no worries! This is just typical flighty New England weather during the transition from winter to mud season. Soon, soon, I keep telling myself. The increased light helps a lot. And the flowers do too!  Thank you to Paula S for brightening our day.

I appreciate the responses from so many of you last week. They also left me very hopeful. All of you are part of a community that cares about the people who are being left behind. Your responses reassured me that there is a deep well of caring in all of you and in our community as a whole. I pray that other regions and other States have individuals, businesses, civic clubs, churches, and other houses of worship like we do around here, with the spirit of generosity that all of you have.

In the past couple of weeks, we have had new volunteers and donors, including a new cookie baker, a new Saturday morning helper, new food donors, some folks who went to a Saturday protest on our behalf, and people who are making phone calls. This week, our friends at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church here in Ayer will be cooking for the Friday potluck! There is so much good going on, and so many different ways that you can help...just ask us! Some of those ways take less than 5 minutes to do. Our deepest gratitude to those who help, in whatever way you do it.

If you can shop for us this week, we are especially in need of 15oz containers of oatmeal, and small boxes of instant potatoes. If you have food that you want to donate to us, we can take drop-offs at the pantry (through the gray door next to the parking lot on Cambridge Street) on Wednesdays from 10 to noon, Fridays from 4 to 5, and Saturdays only from 9 to 10. Please note that these are shorter hours than before, because of parking logistics. Please do not leave food at the door outside of these hours. The bin is always available at Shop n' Save if those times don't suit. Please leave a note in the bag with your name so we know whom to thank! We are located at 21 Washington Street, Suite C, Ayer MA 01432

Have a wonderful week, all of you. I love you!
