Good morning friends! What a glorious weekend we were treated to 💕

Well, I managed to write three grants in three weeks, and now we just have to wait. I'm still looking for other opportunities, so if any of you are aware of grants that your place of business offer, will you please let me know? You won't have to do anything other than point me in the right direction or get me in touch with the right person!

We received a lot of help over the last week, and there are some local businesses, churches, and civic organizations that I want to especially thank: VividCloud, AVS Inc, Little Bee Bookshop, Groton Rotary, Community Harvest Project, and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Also, many many many individuals and families pitched in last week, and we appreciate each and every one of you. Members of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church came on Friday and ran the potluck meal for us. Andy fired up the grill, and we ate like royalty! Thank you all so much!

We have our monthly Crafts Gathering coming up this Saturday, June 8, from 10 to noon. The fabulous Debbie E will be there to guide you through making one of these wool-craft embroidery pieces (picture attached), or you are welcome to use any of our other supplies or even bring your own project to work on in good company. There will be cookies, coffee (or juice), crafts, and conversation available for all, no fees. Children are always welcome, along with their adult.

I am looking for a person with a very special set of skills (no, not the ones Liam Neeson has!) who would like to volunteer with us. They include being really organized and talking with people. If that sounds like you, and you have a couple of hours to spare each week, hit me up and I'll give you the details. You're under no obligations by asking :-)

We have been receiving mid-week emergency calls more often lately, and we need to keep the shelves as stocked as we can. If you are able to shop for us this week, we would very much appreciate some of the products that are in high demand going into summer: boxed mac + cheese, small boxes of plain instant potatoes, canned pasta like spaghettios, canned fruit in juice, spaghetti pasta, spaghetti sauce, and 18oz containers of plain oatmeal. Also, we need some more women's deodorants, and any type of shampoos and conditioners. And as always, anything from our complete list that you find on sale is gratefully welcome! We'll be at the pantry on Wednesday from 10 to noon, Friday from 4 to 5:30, and Saturday from 9 to noon for drop-offs. And the bin is always available at Shop n' Save if those times don't suit. Please leave a note in the bag with your name so we know whom to thank.

Thank you for your love and encouragement!
