Luncheon and Talk with Congressman James McGovern

Sonja, Melanie, and I (Cyndi) had a great opportunity to hear from Congressman James McGovern at a luncheon sponsored by our wonderful partners, the Community Harvest Project.  We traveled to their gorgeous facility in North Grafton, and it was well worth the hike!  

The site in North Grafton is a working farm...don't let the meeting room fool you!  Each year, we receive apples and peaches from their orchard in Harvard MA, and this year we will also be receiving vegetables from the farm.  Here's a picture of the staff that was on hand for the talk, along with the Congressman on the right:

Rep. McGovern is Senior Member of the House Committee on Agriculture, Subcommittee on Nutrition,  among many other caucuses and committees on health and food insecurity.
